Fall has come. Many people think of it as the season of apples and pumpkins. As a kid, I remember picking apples and making apple cider and apple sauce. Some see it as the end of summer and warm weather. And still others see it as the beginning of football practice (or football season). However, fall can also be the start of something new -- New as in a new school year or a new beginning in life.
I met a long time friend in October 2010 and he called me "October Star." He is an amazing poet. He said I shone in the sky like a wondrous star. The night is very dark but the stars glitter and brighten up the darkness. My hope with ArTech is to shine bright like a star.
I know this is an ambitious venture, blending art and technology and trying not to lean too much towards art (since I have written about art for approximately 2 years), but I aim to try. Art would not be so widespread and developed if it wasn't for technology like video, graphic software, and the Internet.
ArTech symbolizes the future, hope, and inspiration. It is easy to just write about art, but in some of my interviews with artists, I have tried to write a little about their techniques and their software. With this blog, I hope to delve deeper into the technological side of SL.
Here's to new beginnings...
